This month’s installment of our Staff Spotlight series features our Project Designer, Rose Malenfant. As a Project Designer, Rose collaborates with youth and educators to create hands-on projects tied in with the content students are learning in their classroom.

Working with the program’s Director, Lizzie, Mishi spends her time prototyping creative and kid-friendly projects, assisting Project Leaders with their prototyping, preparing snacks, and managing program materials and setup.

Managing our Project Production enterprise, Mitchell collaborates with artists, Beam staff, youth staff, and youth participants to build large projects across Beam’s programming sites, both in NYC and at Beam Camp in New Hampshire. Mitchell trains participants in the Project Production enterprise, called Fellows, in all aspects of project development and helps fold an artist’s vision into an experience for youth and staff.

This month’s installment of Beam’s Staff Spotlight series features our Manager of Institutional Giving, Helena Chung. As the Manager of Institutional Giving, Helena maintains relationships with Beam’s institutional funders, writes grants, organizes volunteer opportunities, and assists with fundraising events like our Annual Gala. In addition to being a full time employee at Beam, Helena is a Korean-American poet currently residing in Brooklyn, NY.

This month’s installment of our Staff Spotlight series features our Learning Production Advisor, Allen Riley. As an Advisor, Allen is supporting Beam Center leadership and staff with program design, metrics, and exploring our framework and approach.

This month’s installment of our Staff Spotlight series features our Project Designer and Fabric Specialist, Romina Schulz. Romina is a researcher and a visual artist that currently works mainly with textiles and ceramic. She holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts, with a major in painting, from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. Romina continued her training with several Peruvian pre-hispanic textile courses, such as brocade weaving, Paracas ringed knitting, and backstrap weaving.

This month’s installment of our Staff Spotlight series features our Program Facilitator, Breanna Hayes. Breanna became part of Beam Center in 2017 when she was recruited to the Apprenticeship program from the Boys and Girls High School.

This month’s installment of our Staff Spotlight series features Beam Project Designer, Sarah Lammer. As a Project Designer Sarah works collaboratively with teachers from our partner schools to design and facilitate projects in classrooms.
