The January 2022 installment of our Community Spotlight series features former Beam Camper, Deborah. Deborah is a high school senior at STAR Early College and will attend Duke University in the fall. Deborah plans to pursue the pre-med track and wants to become a Trauma Surgeon; her interest in medicine started after she joined the NYU Grossman School of Medicine STEP program.

Our December 2021 installment of Beam’s Staff Spotlight series featured our Director of Development at Beam Center, Maya Ennis. As the Director of Development, Maya cultivates resources for Beam, including bringing in new funding to support Beam’s mission while maintaining relationships with existing funders and community members.

We’re excited to announce the first installment of our new Community Spotlight series, where we’ll feature individuals and groups from Beam’s community of supporters. There is no better way to start than with artist Jeff Rothberg.

Beam’s November 2021 installment of our Staff Spotlight series featured Beam Project Designer and schools team lead, Kyle. As a Project Designer, Kyle helps develop and facilitate Beam’s Fundamentals and Advanced school-based projects, including an Escape Room, Future Humans, and Boomboxes.
